Changelog

All notable changes to this project are documented here. The format follows Keep a Changelog and the project uses semantic versioning. For a feature-by-feature comparison with Blur for PC, see Features.

  • Multiplayer lobby: the host’s Escape no longer launches the next race after returning from a race; it opens the leave-lobby prompt (F1 starts).
  • Game awards in the state feed: race_result.awards and per-racer award_stats in multiplayer races, with the game’s full per-racer stat values read natively, in standings as racers finish and in race_result.
  • Documentation site at blur.entropylan.party.
  • THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md, shipped with LICENSE in the app bundle and shown on the site’s Legal page.
  • The online service moves to wss://online.blur.entropylan.party/socket, which becomes the compiled-in default. BLUR_ONLINE_URL still overrides it.

First release: a native Apple Silicon port of Blur for macOS, with no Wine, Rosetta or emulator.

  • Statically recompiled game code (x86 to arm64), Direct3D 9 to Metal, and a native Windows API host layer.
  • An installer that copies the game from a disc, ISO or Windows install and applies the 1.2 patch.
  • Every game mode starts and plays, including 2- and 4-player split screen, and LAN multiplayer.
  • Own online service (accounts, lobbies, matchmaking) with a self-hostable server.
  • Extra rows in Options > Graphics: Show FPS, skip intro videos, frame-rate limit, anisotropic filtering, draw distance, bloom.
  • Mod loadouts that persist between launches, including offline and on LAN.
  • Lua patch layer for changing the game’s menus.
  • Discord Rich Presence.
  • Game-state feed over a localhost websocket, with live race telemetry.
